Locating and Observing Optical Counterparts to Unmodeled Pulses
The Looc Up Collaboration is an exciting new project that seeks to optically confirm gravitational wave triggers observed by LIGO. Observation of an optical counterpart to a Gravitational Wave event candidate could enable the first solid detection of a GW signal and would be a major breakthrough in Gravitational Wave astronomy.
